Need advice about sharpening

Hi, I need some advice about sharpening as I have tried to edit the images sharp but without oversharpen them, they were deleted by not being enough sharp.

Maybe it's just me, but in the first picture the trees in the background look sharper than the main object in the foreground. So I'd first check if the focus point of my camera/lens combination is correct.
