Hi guys,

I recently had an issue with JPEG banding and was hoping that someone would beable to say whether the photo was now acceptable. I have put equalised images up as it shows up the banding, I have also put a copy of the photo too.

Many thanks in advance of your advice and help.

Iain

Hello Iain,

As I see that you do not have plenty of help and answers, I contribute my little knowledge about it.

In my case, and after many rejections, I chose to edit only the plane and the ground in his case and I do not edit the sky as it remains as it comes out of the camera RAW. It is a slow and tedious job selection, but since I have done it with all the photos, rejections due to JPG compression, banding, dirty skies, etc. have ended.

I repeat that it is hard work but when you have adjusted the workflow (graphic tablet essential) the result is satisfactory.

Greetings.
