| Author's remark: | This US Navy A-4F Skyhawk is placed here as part of the arrested landing demonstration on board the USS Midway aircraft carrier. There is a video and presentation made by a retired Navy or Marine pilot regarding the arresting gear, procedures and speeds etc. A beautiful aircraft loaded up for another work day. In practice it would be rare to return to the ship with a full load of ordnance. |
