To celebrate the Italian Air Force 100th Anniversary, the tails of the Frecce Tricolori planes were repainted with the crests of the squadrons displayed on the Italian Air Force coat of arms: 10th Squadriglia Farman (Farman Squadron), 91st Squadriglia da Caccia (Fighter Squadron), 10th Squadriglia da Bombardamento Caproni (Caproni Bombers Squadron) and 87th Squadriglia Aeroplani La Serenissima (Aircraft Squadron La Serenissima, nickname of the city of Venice).
