A few years ago, multiple airlines used to operate their Airbus A340-600s to Mumbai Airport. Sadly, most of them have retired the iconic quad-jet and operate their modern, fuel-efficient twin-jet airliners now. Lufthansa is the only airline that operates the Airbus A340-600 to Mumbai now, and that too at night. Thanks to an extremely rare delay of the incoming flight from Munich, we got to spot this beauty in daylight! With the length of 75.4m and wingspan of 65m, the A346 is one of the longest aircraft in the world! This airframe was delivered to Lufthansa in November 2006, and is one of the ten A340-600s still in the airline's fleet. She is powered by 4x Rolls Royce Trent 500 engines. Each engine weighs 4990 kg and produces maximum thrust of 61,902 lbf. D-AIHP is seen here taxiing towards Runway 27 for her flight back to Munich, Germany as "LH767".
