On November 18, 2011, the Carolinas Aviation Museum got a rare visitor this afternoon. Captain Sullenberger and First Officer Jeff Skiles of US Airways Flight 1549, the Airbus A320 which crashed into the Hudson River, were supporting the Historical Flight Foundation by flying the DC-7B to the Museum from Opa Locka, Florida to Charlotte, North Carolina. |

Rocky on Dec 16th, 2011: "I was aboard the plane at that point in time, taking a video. It was rather fascinating. I
was sitting on the right side of the plane, at the window next to the engine, I could see
everything take place. Video is 3 minutes long, very very cool. Such a shame not to be
able to fly home on that, but it was a good trip up. HFF is a great group, and they
coordinated everything beautifully!!"
