I wos seconded to ZAF in 1968 to 1969 and worked on this aircraft's predecessor - my wife
was present at the crash of that aircraft and received The President's Medal for
Gallantry after rescuing the pilot, who unfortunately died later. I should like to see
other photos of different aircraft of that time.

Was also with ZAF when AF601 crashed. I was in charge of Radio Servicing but had handed
over this post when we were given notice that our secondment was to end. I was tasked to
assist the relevant investigators sent from the UK to determine the cause of the accident.
I still have a Rolls-Royce badge taken from an engine nacelle.

this aircraft is so grand.. I'd always be amused by the whine it made flying past my home
en route to Lusaka City airport HQ... My father Brig Gen JB Chisala flew the DHC Buffalo
in the Zambia Air Force...
