| Author's remark: | One of the most awesome things I've ever seen from the air. We were heading back to Heathrow from Moscow and as we came over the UK coast we saw this massive storm to the north. The size of it was incredible and I've never seen anything even remotely similar in 250+ flights all over the northern hemisphere. Around an hour after we landed it hit us and unleashed the most torrential rain I've ever seen in the UK. Really quite spectacular! |
